Shed door mural

We can all agree we’ve learnt a lot more about ourselves this past year. New routines, new hobbies and new ways of passing time.

During May 2020, I decided to create a mural on my mum’s shed door. Using the theme of a magical garden, of course. Starting with mushrooms, they can be my favourite thing to draw - purely because there really is no wrong way to draw them, creating the most satisfying shapes.

Each day of lockdown, I added more. The weather was amazing so it was nice to be able to make the most of it and not go stir-crazy. Creating gnome characters, sunflowers with weary eyes and animals.

This project cheered my family and I up a lot, as it was something new to look at everyday - and it still is!
